I am so excited for my bridesmaids to receive this small gift from me. I have had this planned for quite some time now. Initially, I couldn’t decide what to put inside and as usually, I got lots of inspirations from Pinterest. Just hope the girls will love it!
Z and I immediately fell in love with these when we saw their instagram and decided to get them for his groomsmen. Price is at $35 each and you can customise the names and even change the design if you like. What better way to celebrate Z’s dedication to his job and this country by sharing it with his best mates! Can’t wait to see the final outcome already!
Since the colours I have chosen for my wedding outfits are in the range of white/cream/yellowish gold, I thought that maybe I should find shoes that are in the same colour tone. I went all over town yesterday to look for nice wedding shoes and only managed to find a very shiny, glittery one from Pazzion in light gold at SGD89.90. I thought this would look perfect when paired with the yellowish-gold songket we will be wearing. I was so exhausted from looking for a plain white shoes that I gave up and Uber-ed home at 730pm. (Dah tua, cannot go on after 3 hours of walking in town. HAHA)
So, I went online to look for white shoes and stumbled upon the one pictured below on Polyvore. Clicked on it and sent me straight to Shein. So happy they had one in my size and to top it off, it only cost USD29.99 after discount. Better still, shipping is only USD4.99. In total, I only had to pay USD35.97 which is SGD48.20. Even cheaper than the one I got from Pazzion!
I’m really glad I got both shoes at such good prices without having to spend hundreds of dollars! More money to save for other wedding stuffs!
This berkat issue was never ending. Everyone in the family had an opinion to give. Some say not too big, not too ex, make it practical, make it simple, make it nice. Yadda yadda. I got a little fed up at one point of time. So, I just followed their suggestion to survey in Jb instead.
My cousin in JB was really helpful. In less than 10 minutes, he already found a place we could look into. I really like the different things they offered and of cos, the price! Ahh, the price.
Albeit the location of the shop was abit far from JB Central (it was located at Pasir Gudang), we were lucky my aunt and uncle drove us there. The shop/vendor name was The Moons Gallery and Doorgift. Apparently, they are quite well-known in JB. They provide doorgifts for every occasion:
They also have mini sejadah, ready-made Yassin, tasbih in a box – essentials you need when holding a “Doa Selamat” event or such. The items range as low as RM1.50 to about Rm3.50, depending on what you choose. They even do customised labels of your choice and it’s already included in the price they stated. The item I took included labels, ribbons and even a net pouch – all for just RM3.30! I was so happy when I saw the price cos I really didn’t want to spend so much on anything anymore hahaha!
Let’s make a guess which one I chose for my event ok? 😀
The past few months have been crazy. Settling a new class in the new term was absolutely exhausting. I come home from work/class each night and KO right after showering. Sometimes I forget that I only have 5 more months to the big day and I still have a long list of pending items to be done:
Gift Trays decorations
Marriage Preparation Course
I should seriously take some time to make bookings/orders for all these pending items. *cries silently*
Also, if anyone knows any photobooth vendors who does photo strips please let me know. I’m really loving the one by Hur Hur Paperie but they are charging $580 for 5 hours and I’m not sure if I would want to spend that much on just photobooth. DO LET ME KNOW! Thanks!
Sorry BTBs for the long hiatus. I have been consumed by a great amount of work and assignments to the point I knock out as early as 10pm on some days. Anyhoos, here’s an update on some of our wedding preps.
Previously, I blogged about taking Anggun by Mastura for our bridal outfits but sad to say that they are not available on our wedding date but fret not! I managed to get another bridal vendor on a short notice which is Nawwarah Bridal. I must say I am very pleased with the service thus far, the lady Zubaidah is very prompt in replying my emails (and I am one whois quite impatient at waiting for replies). The outfits Nawwarah Bridal offer is just about the right fit for me! They cater more to hijab BTBs like me and I am so pleased and excited about it! Some of the outfits I saw on their instagram are to die for! Also, their price range is quite easy on the pockets (even more things to be pleased about with this bridal ah!). If any of you wants a peek at the package listing, do email me at email@example.com!
At the same time, I am amidst discussing about what berkat I should include in my wedding. I am really all about something practical like food but does anyone has any suggestions for a food berkat that is not very typical i.e. butter biscuits, pulut kuning, chocolates, redondo etc.
Some of the things I need to do:
….. oh man, need to really sit and get this list straightened out!
Spent most of my afternoon today looking at “Bridesmaid Gifts/Kits”. I am somehow very, very excited about this as well. Truth be told, I already felt like buying everything for my bridesmaids. HAHAHA.
I also spent some time looking at Bridesmaid Cards and found some inspirations online. So here’s two which I made from scratch:
I can’t decide which one I prefer! I WANT TO USE BOTH!!! hahaha Soon, I will be sourcing for places to print my cards. Do let me know if you have any good place to print!
And here’s some inspiration I got off Pinterest for my Bridesmaid Kit:
